Getting Started with the PDC
If you have a concern about a child under age three, please give us a call or complete the referral form. Our intake coordinator will get right back to you with further information and an appointment to meet with you and your child.
Referrals
Referrals to PDC may be made by concerned parents/guardians, pediatricians, medical specialists, social service agencies, child care providers, hospitals and medical centers.
A referral entitles a child to a developmental assessment to determine eligibility. If a child is eligible and the parent would like services, they are welcomed as a new “PDC family.”
Together with parents, the PDC team creates an individualized program to meet the needs of each child and family.
“We were told by a neurologist that our son had Sensory Integration Dysfunction but didn’t know what to do. Our pediatrician assured us that a call to PDC would get us started. We were pleased to find therapists who knew how to develop what they called a ‘sensory diet’ for our son and he began to gradually shift some of the behaviors related to his disorder. The change has been incredible and we so appreciate the guidance of the PDC therapists who work with him. He’s able to communicate his feelings now and we’re so proud of his progress in so many areas! With PDC’s support and guidance, we’re making a difference for our child!”
